I honestly can’t believe it is the last day of 2014. Just like that… tomorrow is 2015. What a year. My word or mantra for 2014 was Adventure. ( I wrote about it here and here ) I remember last year at this time. My heart and life was craving an adventure. And not the daily adventures with kids out in the back yard but an adventure that takes risk. An adventure that makes you a little nervous. I remember writing and dreaming for 2014 … thinking and praying about doing a ministry school here in Redding, but also dreaming of taking a big life adventure with Brent. Its funny how plans and dreams shift. 2014 was full. Full of work, family, travel, life. I wouldn’t have changed any of it. I’ve been thinking of 2015 a lot, naturally as we are hours away from a new year and Im praying and hoping this year brings many new things. I tend to be a bit of an introvert, which can then keep me from being Brave. I recently posted a picture / quote on instagram that read ” She who is BRAVE is free ” from Jenny Maiedae. When I saw this for the first time, I new that it had to be my new mantra for the year. To be authentic, original, honest, brave. It is then I will feel most free. As much as I love the internet and blogging and following others.. its hard not to feel overwhelmed buy the next. To know that one is a better writer , better photographer, blah blah blah. Im excited to focus on me and me being and becoming brave. To not just be brave here, but in my everyday and most brave when and where I feel uncomfortable. I want to be brave in my marriage, in how I love, Brave in Friendships and in how I worship and especially in ways of giving. We have been given so much. 2015 I welcome you with open arms. 2014 was great, and hoping and praying that 2015 is even better. Lets be brave together. Here are a few of my favorites and memories from this past year… and Some highlights so I never forget…
Brent turned 28 and we had a party!
Lucca Faye turned one in April & We celebrated with 2 parties! One in Redding and one in LA.
Brent and I had our busiest year with 27 weddings! Which meant we traveled way to much, but got to know some people awesome people!
Our dear Friend Melody moved to California and into our Studio Gold. We love her and she makes the world brighter.
I turned 33 in April and spent the day with Brent and night with friends!
We traveled to Oahu with both our girls for 10 days! We love you Oahu!
Brent bought his first (two ) motorcycles
Lyla tuned 3 in October and of course we had a small party. Grandma and Grandpa came from LA which made it even better!
Brent and I went to Maui (with no kids) for a wedding and celebrate our upcoming 5th anniversary early! This was the first time I flew away from my kids. It may have been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do!
We spent Christmas day in our home for the first time!
I started my journey of learning to cook.
And in the “success” of blogging I had my first “corporate” sponsored post! And although I am very much a goal oriented person, I know that Success is not measured by wealth, but merely by the relationships that surround us.
May you be rich in Friendships! xo
Happy New Year friends!!!!
