Remember when we bought our house last November? Well (7 months later) I am just now getting started with painting and decorating ! I usually have plenty of ideas and lots of inspiration from Pinterest but it has taken me a long time to sit, plan and really concentrate on one room at a time. Since I like to set goals, I set a one week goal to paint a wall in Lyla’s room. I found a Gray (-brown) color from Kelly Moore called Rock of Ages and set the color scheme from a few things I knew I wanted in her room ( Including the “Hello Pillow” I recently got from one of my Etsy Sponsors). We also moved Lyla into a full size bed and spray painted the metal bed frame Krylon Ballet Slipper .
I knew that ultimately I didn’t want to go crazy with a lot of different colors and liked the idea of Black & White with pops of mint and light pink.
So here is part one of Lyla’s room makeover. Im definitely not finished, but I achieved my goal thanks to the best little helper and Im off to a great start. ( Before… )

I love the way the room turned out. I would have never thought of using the colour palette that you did but wow… what dramatic and gorgeous results.
I love that little chrome step stool. It reminds me of something my grandma used to have.
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the SHINE Blog Hop).
Wishing you a lovely week.

Thank you Jennifer! The chrome step stool was my grandma’s!! Thank you so allowing me to link up! xo
Your room looks like it’s going to be gorgeous!
…I really love the rough wall you’ve been working on & it’s such a beautiful shot of your little painter 🙂
